According to Webster's dictionary, physics is the science of matter, energy, and force. There are many ways to stimulate the mind using challenges and obstacles. These challenges can help people of all ages stimulate their brains and focus on solving problems.

Centuries ago, mental challenges were played by the most profound intellectuals alive. The reason behind these profound challenges were to display an athlete's athleticism through the use of a series of obstacles. The reward was great for the challenges that were the most difficult. These challenges play a huge role in developing the manner in which professional athletes today use there intellect to accomplish a specific goal.

Cyber challenges are becoming a popular way to increase brain activity. Although cyber physics games are targeted at individuals in their early teens, there are still really good cyber challenges for people who are in their late thirties. For instance, the game darts is a classic mind sport that requires a certain level of accuracy when you assert a small amount of force onto a dart to hit a desired point on a board. The minuteness of force required to succeed makes this activity a great way to improve your mental agility.

The most common type of mind obstacles are brain teasers, such as sudoku or tetris. These interactive challenges require some form of planning to anticipate your opponents next move. The purpose of these challenges is to out wit your opponent so that you dominate the game. The four basic steps that will help you conquer any mind teaser challenge will be discussed below.

Come up with abnormal solutions or impractical solutions to help stimulate your brain. Lastly, if you are stumped, take a break and revisit the obstacle with a fresh pair of eyes at a later time.

Thinking sports that stimulate the mind are great stress relievers and they are also great assistants when one is in need of solutions to problems in social and professional life. With today's technology, mind teasers are often virtual in nature to target the younger generation of cyber junkies, but they are also commonly used in sophisticated settings where serious problem solving is performed.

Studies have shown that the majority of people who engage in such mental challenges tend to have an open view on life and theories. Mind power and agility are really difficult abilities of the brain to improve. For this reason, it is important that you immerse your mind into these mind challenges as often as possible.

Men are most likely to indulge in these mind stimulating challenges, but women tend to be more successful while playing brain teasers due to their innate analytical nature.
