Going To Art School With Metal Portfolio Cases

By Shannon Hilson

Most of the first year art and design students have no idea regarding the details that they need to cover before entering school. If it is not the school fees that they need to think about, it is the boarding and lodging arrangements that they need to finalize before entering into the school of their choice. These decisions can distract or confuse them when it comes to buying supplies for art school, especially art portfolio cases. When such a situation arises, they not only get frustrated by the type of tools that need to work with, their school performance is also affected.

Families that are on a budget do not want to have to buy new back to school supplies every semester. While most students relish the idea of going back to school with something new, this is not a feasible idea when it comes to expensive courses. This is why the type of portfolio case that they buy in the beginning should last them until they graduate and even accompany them into their profession. Of all the portfolio cases on the market, only metal art portfolio cases offer this advantage. Not only are students given a long lasting product, they are also shaped to value elegance and quality from early and this plays out in how they approach their professional life in the long run.

Most of the metal portfolios are made with latches which ensure to guarantee flexibility, protection and long lasting quality, unlike the zipper and two handle system that is prevalent among traditional art portfolio cases. This means that there is no fear of art pieces getting torn or spoiled at the time of being zipped and locked. Apart from this the presence of latches does not allow water to enter the metal portfolio case and spoil your pieces of art.

Metal case can generally resist all forms of damage, wear and tear whether the owner has a firm grip or sweaty palms while carrying the portfolio. On the other side leather may lose its shine, stitches or its complete appearance after a few months of use. People with hands that sweat a lot would quickly begin to notice that the area around the handles has lost its color due to the sweat and salt transferred by the hands of the user. Most of these factors do not have any effect on metal portfolio cases and this is the reason why they are unmatched when it comes to style and security in the long run.

When it comes to the coursework, good grades can be earned only if there is presentation of skill, dedication and great appearance. A large number of professors would not accept a student's work if it is creased or damaged and this may lead to lower grades. Traditional art portfolio cases are susceptible to being crumpled very easily and can end up damaging the contents of the portfolio. On the other hand metal cases can withstand a lot of pressure and a wide range of impacts without showing any signs of damage or compromise with the safety and security of the contents.
