The best moments from The Inbetweeners

By Alfie Davis

The Inbetweeners hit TV screens in 2008 and ever since there has been a constant buzz about the programme. The comedy was something completely fresh and offered a slightly exaggerated look into the life of four frustrated male six form college students as they attempt to meet women. The four of them often find themselves in difficult situations as they make the worst choices they possibly can and the situation is only made worse by their parents who find them funny too.

It is difficult to pick the best bits out of The Inbetweeners because since it started every programme has had more than one. One moment which had everyone talking was when the four called in sick at college despite attendance not being essential so that they could get drunk. The group went to Neil's house but when his dad returned and asked what they were up to, Will loses it and starts showering him with insults before finally calling him a 'bumder'.

Many of the best moments in The Inbetweeners are when something happens to one of them causing them to lose control. One such event was when Jay appeared to have a new friend outside of the group. The others mock him constantly for this until Jay can take no more of it. To show that this person isn't Jay's friend he begins to vandalise the person's car while shouting he's not my friend. Jay adds plenty of expletives in there too to emphasise his point.

One episode which had most people in tears for the duration was when the group were studying for their exams. Simon was revising for a subject he didn't take because he wanted to spend time with a girl and Will was cramming with the help of numerous energy drinks. Once in the exam, Will's plan backfired somewhat as he lost control of his bowels and proceeded to have diarrhoea while still at his seat.

The success of The Inbetweeners led to a feature film where the group went on a lad's holiday. Just like the series' it was full of hilarious moments like the famous dance scene when the four of them attempt to meet a group of girls by dancing over to them in what is one of the most cringe worthy but funniest moments you are likely to see.
