Discovering Petrol Remote Control Cars

There have been many adverts on TV for remote control petrol cars, where you see a car dashing about with a big smile on the boys face and fantastic stunts by the car itself. What people do not realise is there is a lot more to a remote control car than just making it dash about either performing stunts or banging into objects. You will find that petrol cars (nitro cars) are faster and take more skill to control than electric cars.

Alongside rc nitro cars, you can also get rc nitro monster trucks, rc nitro buggies, rc nitro on-road and off - road remote controlled vehicles.

Petrol remote control cars are provide for an interesting and challenging hobby. Sure you can buy a complete car, fuel it up and have a ball. However it wont be long before you are finding yourself wanting to build rc nitro cars from scratch, and servicing and tuning your current rc cars. Most likely you will join the legion of enthusiasts that meet to share their knowledge and race their rc nitro cars.

There are 1000's of spares you can by online for your car when you decide to take your hobby to the level of servicing and fixing your own nitro car. Many forums can be found for when you do get stuck, as the learning curve is pretty steep but incredibly fun. They can run on grass, concrete and some can move over obstacles you put in their way such as the Monster Truck variations.

In the UK we refer to these cars as radio control petrol cars, but in the United States and Canada they call them Gas powered cars. These cars are superior in most ways to electric cars in that the designs are more robust but the petrol gives them more power, torque and overall fun value.

To fire up the petrol remote controlled car, you will need to use your starter kit, fill the petrol tank and you'r away. Show caution when handling petrol, as although the quantities are minimal the petrol is still extremely flammable and can cause injury should it ignite. While a petrol rc car can be fueled and read in minutes an electric remote control car will require several hours to charge between uses.
