How it all Started for Justin Bieber

By Bob Smith

Justin Bieber is a 16 year old heart throb who is rocking the nation with his great music, good looks and his down to earth personality. Justin's music climbs the charts, the girls swoon and his new found success has led to a whole series of dolls that look just like him and even play a short clip of a hit tune.

When Justin Bieber's mother first became aware of his musical abilities she hoped he would become a Christian rock star. He had taught himself how to play guitar and keyboard and soon was playing for small change on the streets of his small Canadian hometown. In his first summer of performing he earned three thousand dollars in tips. He used this new-found source of income to take his mom with him for a visit to Disneyland. It was a nice sum of money for a poor fourteen year old kid but it was nothing compared to the fame and fortune which would soon be literally knocking on his door.

His mother Pattie had taken some videos of him performing at amateur contests and like any proud mom might do, posted them to YouTube for her friends and family to view. While these started to gain some views from outside of their circle of acquaintances they were literally stumbled on by a man who would change Justin Bieber's life forever.

Second release "My World 2.0" came in March 2010 got an international hit "Baby". iTunes store released 3 consecutive hits "One Less Lonely Girl", "Love Me", "Favorite Girl" and charted on top 40 of "Billboard Hot 100". The song "One Less Lonely Girl" rated top 15 in Canada and United States, after releasing on radio. After the international hit "Baby" from his second album, another super hit song "Ludacris" came, and become the biggest hit. This new hit song charted at number five position in U.S. and top ten in other countries. "Never Let You Go" and "U Smile" charted the top 20 in Canada and top 30 in United States. These two singles make him the youngest solo male act to top the chart since Stevie Wonder.

But for Justin the hard work was just beginning. A relentless and grueling schedule of tours, appearances and advanced musical and performance training soon followed. The young man was up to the challenge. He refined his skills and public persona. Combined with a viral publicity campaign the likes of which the Internet has never seen before, Justin Bieber quickly rose to the top and became a household name and hugely successful musician.

He performed in front of U.S. president Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for the Christmas celebration at the White House. This performance included songs of Stevie Wonder's "Someday at Christmas", which was broadcast on TNT on December 2009. 52nd Grammy Awards featured Justin as a presenter too. For the benefit of Haiti earthquake, he lent his vocals for the remake of "We Are The World". This performance was later released with the name of "Young Artists for Haiti". And with so many product launches like the Justin Bieber doll, nail polish and fragrance, he sure is making his future financially secure.
