Learning Holdem is almost like learning a new language. There are jargons you need to understand and rules that need to be followed. Fortunately, Texas Holdem is known for the simplicity of its rules. Go through these Texas Holdem instructions below to know more.

Texas Holdem only needs an ordinary deck of cards, at least a pair of players and a good sense of the rules. When played in casinos, dealers are constant as they hire people to do this for patrons. Holdem games that are hosted privately however, have the dealer button moving among players in a clockwise fashion.

Knowing who the dealer is is important as it also dictates who sets the small and big blinds. Blinds are aptly named as they are bets made prior to seeing individual cards.

The person seated to the dealer's left posts the small blind which is half the amount of the big blind. The person to the left of the small blind posts in turn, the big blind for the game.

Once the blinds are posted, the dealer gives every player two hole cards. The objective to Taxes Holdem is to use either a hole card with community cards or community cards solely, to form a strong poker hand.

Now, the pre flop betting rounds begins. This is followed by a burn card - a card discarded from the game to prevent cheating - and a group of three community cards called 'the flop'.

This sequence of betting, burn card and community card is followed twice more. The only difference is that community cards are only drawn one card at a time now. The fourth community card is called 'the turn' while the last community card is called 'the river'.
