World of Warcraft Strategy Guides for All Play Levels

By Gunnar Schweitzkopf

This short World of Warcraft strategy guide will give both Horde and Alliance players valuable tips to play more efficiently. All of these tips can be applied by both Horde and Alliance characters.

Try to play only when your character is in a rested state.

Doing this gives you double the experience points while you do quests. By recharging a toon's rested bonus to the maximum level over a couple of days, you can potentially carry out several quests and collect the double XP bonus the whole time. The rested bonus is a huge time saver and will make you a more efficient player.

Green quests are your goal.

They're fairly easy and offer the best bang for the buck. By doing quests higher than green you'll discover that you will get killed several times in the process if you are mobbed by multiple monsters at a time. Your armor will take more damage, and that means more time wasted as you rush back to the nearest town for repairs.

When leveling up, avoid instances.

Running instances does not give you the same amount of experience as just doing quests. It's appealing for some of the items, but it is slower.

Cluster quests together.

Grab all the offered quests you can find when first entering a zone. Try to cluster quests together that end in the same area. Just take a look at the quest information. Running back and forth between zones for quests is a nuisance and this method will save you a lot a time and aggravation.

Travel to other zones. If you have completed all the easier quests in your own race's zones, do not be afraid to travel to another part of the continent or even to the other continent to aim at those easy green quests. The bonus XP from completing so many quests quickly will turn you into a power leveler before you know it.
