Female Tattoos - Keeping It Stylish

By Robert Barlow

A lot of famous females are known for having tattoos. Victoria Beckham, Angelina Jolie, and Kat Von D are celebrities who show off their painted flesh with pride in very bold places. In spite of this celebrity fad, visible tattoos are not right for all people, specifically females who work in a professional field. Who can say if professional females should have tattoos or not, however it should be carefully put in an area where it is not always noticed. Also professional females should choose a pattern that is not bright, fancy, or nasty.

The tattoo is much more widely accepted these days. You can find simple images like hearts, stars, and flowers on people's bodies, in inconspicuous places like the tops and soles of the feet. And more complex tattoos, like animal images, are commonly inked on the sides of the body, the arms, and the shoulders. One reason for this is that the more complex a tattoo design is, the more space it will require on the body. Attempting to tattoo an entire scene, or picture, on the top of the foot can be a real challenge for even the most experienced tattoo artist.

Most women prefer to have a tattoo at their lower back. One famous example is Britney Spears who has the tattoo of a fairy here. The preferred designs are butterflies and flowers. Women choose their lower back for tattooing for two reasons; firstly, this is the spot which feels the least pain and secondly, the lower back can easily be covered all the time. Tattooing letters and numbers is also becoming popular recently. People who want to show off their special interest or belief in something, get those things written as tattoos on their body. These script tattoos can be the names of people whom they love, quotes or even words from books.

Tattoos are not right for everybody, however. People who are afraid of needles, blood or can't take too much pain will probably have a bad experience with tattoos. Doing an investigation before getting a tattoo can eliminate some of the fear about the entire procedure, and also give information about the kind of paint and needles used, and the way it reacts to different types of skin. Certainly, pregnant females should not get tattoos because of the baby, as well as people who drink alcohol, since they have thin blood and this might stop the artist from doing the most efficient work.

From a small design on the foot, to an entire ribcage tattoo, there are tattoo options available for everyone who is interested in getting one. This is good because tattoos are meant to express the individuality of the person who is wearing them. And, they often say a lot about that person. This makes picking your tattoo an important decision. And, the fact that it will be on your body for the rest of your life, calls for you to give your chosen design some careful consideration. Yes, tattoo removal is available. Celebs, like Kelly Osbourne, have had some of their unwanted ink removed. But, tattoo removal is very expensive, and is more painful than actually getting the tattoo. So, it is a good idea to think carefully about your tattoo before you get it. Size, placement, and overall design are just some decisions that need to be made ahead of time. However, the only person that can make the right decisions, concerning your tattoo, is the person who will be sitting in the tattoo chair at the other end of the needle. And, that's you!
