A suggestion for anyone who is having trouble with a weak singing voice is that they seek out what the problem is that is making their voice weakened. If you sound like a frightened mouse when you are singing, you are not singing from the diaphragm. Projecting the sounds from your gut requires a good amount of confidence and self-esteem.

Pulling in a very deep breath and holding it will give a person an indication of what it feels like to sing from the gut. There is a feeling of pressure in the chest and that is where the sound should be coming from. It is made easier by lifting the chin, holding the shoulders back and having a straight spine. Good projection comes with full lungs. The goal is to find a good balance between control and volume.

Singing to the skies is a trick that some people use to help them project. It opens the throat to lift the head. Singing with good volume requires strength in attitude, in voice and in personality.
