A Few Of The Most Impressive Films By The Film Industry's Best Directors
There is no doubt how one of the crucial members, if not the most important member, of any successful movie is the director. The director is the man or woman with a vision, the person with the master plan. These days, there are so many great directors that are worthy of praise.
There are a chosen few directors that will be considered amongst the Hollywood greats. The following directors are my top five favorites at the moment.
Another director that is impossible to overlook is Steven Spielberg. Some of Spielberg's most recent movies include Saving Private Ryan, The Terminal, Munich, War Of The Worlds, and Minority Report.
Another incredible director working today is Christopher Nolan. In fact, Nolan might be the best director in Hollywood right now. He has yet to put out a movie that I haven't absolutely loved; Memento, Inception, The Prestige and The Dark Knight are just some of his best.
One duo of directors who have been absolutely amazing over the past few years are the Coen brothers. Joel and Ethan Coen are a set of brothers to be reckoned with. If you have yet to see No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski and/or Fargo, you are missing out.
Another director that must be mentioned in any combination of directors is obviously James Cameron. The man has put out some of the most iconic movies of all time, not to mention the top two highest grossing films of all time, Titanic and Avatar. If you haven't seen Avatar, you are missing out.
One other great director who keeps churning out hits is Clint Eastwood. Even in his old age, Dirty Harry continues to be one of the most important directors in Hollywood. Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River and Gran Turino are some of his best movies.
These are just some of the best directors in the game right now. As long as they continue to make movies, we'll have great films for years and years to come.
