Simple Tips To Cheer Up A Sad Friend

By Mandy Saunders

There will always come a time when we feel down and sad. No matter what the reason is we always feel depressed and we need someone to talk to. The burden of friendship comes into play when one of your friends is experiencing the blues. Below are tips on how you can turn that sad face up.

Be there for your friend always. Listen to whatever he says and do not speak a word unless he is done talking everything what he feels. Never hesitate to be there for your friend as he will do the same for you when the time comes.

Give him an advice if you have something to say to him. If you have no experience or have no idea on what advice to give, just be his friend and stay with your friend for as long as possible. Never neglect your friend's emotions.

Now that you are able to listen to their problem, give proper advice, and have given a token of gratitude. Try to take their mind off from that memory by keeping her busy but be mindful about how she would feel.

In order for you to be able to help your friend in need, don't be sad yourself. How are you supposed to help your friend when you are also hitting the blues.

Give your friend a massive hug. There is nothing a hug cannot do to make your feel better. There is something about that warm embrace that makes you feel that everything is good in the world. It makes you feel safe even if it is just for a second.

Spend more time with your friend who wants to be happy. Do things together like wash the dishes, clean the room, or go out and have fun. The more you spend time together the stronger your bond as friends and the more you begin to realize that everything is good after all.

People might take the easy way out when this happens. They instantly leave you out to deal with your own problems but it is in these trying times that you will be able to separate fake friends from true ones.
