Team Fortress 2 Classes Revealed

By Dirik Hameed

Varying skins, skills, health and movement ability, there are currently 9 classes for Team Fortress 2. As with CSS game servers, Team Fortress 2 has a huge amount of mods and maps via its community. So Team Fortress 2 game servers have been out for 2 years and the game is still as popular as it was when it came out

With three sub classes for support, defence and offence, Team Fortress 2 servers have 9 different classes in total. You don't have to play them as those roles but they have been developed so that their weapons and skills are best used in those positions.

Defence will be the difference between you winning on Team Fortress 2 servers or losing it. Having players on the back line is vital to stop the scout from sneaking through.

You have to be skilled at this class to know to play it without a proper gun or using the bottle to melee. The Demoman uses the game engine and physics to his advantage. The grenade launcher itself is a very powerful weapon and can take out classes with small health pools in just one or two grenades (scouts, medics and spies). The grenade launcher is also great for taking sentry guns that are around tight corners with relative ease. The sticky grenades work like proximity mines and so are great for laying as traps near intelligence or control points and tight choke points. Simply lay a few sticky grenades and watch the kills roll in. If you suck at aiming and like big bangs, try this class!

The Heavy is our next class. This chap really has some meat behind his punch. His high health and most powerful gun makes up for the fact he's the slowest of all the classes. He'll take down the other classes very quickly. The only thing he struggles is if he meets his opposite number from the other team. With a long range, he can battle several enemies at once. However his mini gun does take a while to rev up. Once he hits you, don't expect to move in a hurry! These guys work well when placed with someone else to help draw fire away from them so they can just concentrate with mowing people down. If you like to make people shut up on game servers then this is the guy for you!

The engineer would normally only fire when being attacked directly. His role is to deploy and maintain buildings that are helpful to his team. They are best known for their sentry guns which are automated turrets which can be upgraded by whacking them with the wrench. However, you need to gather metal either from downed players, ammo crates and also their own dispensers. The dispensers will also resupply nearby units as well. Teleports are also placed to allow players to move from one part of the map to the other. A hidden spot near the enemy base is always a good position. When it comes to getting their hands dirty they are not down and out with their slightly generic weapons. However they can be effective at medium range with their turrets and tend to sit in cover. Want a turret to get your kills while you sit back and relax? Then the Engineer is the class for you.
