By Alex Bannon

This article is going to share with you all the Texas Hold Em Poker rules on the hands and which hands beat which. Read it now to learn how to win.

Texas Hold Em Poker begins when players are given their individual hole cards. The first round of betting commences where players can open, call or fold. Simply put, to open means to begin the betting round; to call is to match another player's bet and to fold means excluding oneself in the game. Folding is usually done when players see that their hands cannot win.

After betting, a burn card is discarded from the top of the deck. This is the usual practice to prevent cheating. The first three community cards are called the flops. When the flops are exposed, another betting round takes place. This is followed shortly by a burn card and 'the turn' - or the fourth community card.

The turn leads us to one final betting round, then a burn card and one last community card, 'the river. The game commences during showdown, when players compare hands and determine the winner.
